SNP financial mismanagement has come home to roost.

It’s clear that Scotland is being failed by both of its governments.

If you want a sensible, growing economy and decent public services then it’s time to vote Scottish Lib Dem and turf the SNP out of office once and for all.

In a way I should be grateful to Putin. Until Wednesday I was not entirely sure what to write about in this week’s Scotsman column. The news that I was banned from visiting Russia – for the high crime of “outright rudeness” no less – made the decision pretty easy.

I've just been barred from entering Russia. Farage's ban must have got lost in the post
As Donald Trump attacks Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky again on social media, it’s never been more important to stand by Ukraine and against Putin’s Russia

Time to say Game Over to this government ❌️🎮

Whilst the Scottish Government is happy to give fan service to our gaming industry, my FOI found they couldn't even pick up a phone when 160 jobs were lost with the closure of Axis Studios

Our gaming industry deserves better

There are many who voted for Ruth Davidson’s Conservatives who are dismayed to see the party lurching to the extremes.

Just like our newest MSP, Jamie Greene, they increasingly see in the Scottish Liberal Democrats a chance to do things differently.

It took NASA 11 years to put a man on the moon but it’s been almost 20 years since the SNP came to power with a promise to dual the A9.

Dualling the A9 is so important, not just for the Highland economy but also for road safety.

Delighted to write again for the Farmers Guardian this week, on Trump, Farage - and the potential for chlorine-treated chicken to find itself on our supermarket shelves as part of a UK-US trade deal.

Delayed ferries, over budget, painted on windows, a leaking hull, the short cables, cheaper to scrap and start again.

Yet not one SNP minister has resigned as a result of this series of catastrophes over many years.

This is thuggery from Trump and Vance, plain and simple.

They are bullying the brave true patriot Zelensky into accepting a deal which effectively hands victory to Russia. Unless the UK and Europe step up, we are facing a betrayal of Ukraine.

Today in First Minister’s Questions I quizzed the FM on the current NHS dental system. The current so called ‘high street model’ is not working in Shetland where we have no options for different NHS dentist providers. I would like to see a model that ensures routine care for all NHS patients.
