Earlier this fall, our Policy Director Carleton Bowekaty was busy in NYC for Climate Week. Carleton spoke on a panel, Public Lands Protection is Climate Action, organized by @patagonia.com and @conservationlands.bsky.social at the downtown Patagonia office.

The BEITC is a Tribal-led nonprofit organization working under the direction of five Tribal Nations.

The Coalition advances Tribal collaborative management with federal agency partners, centering Traditional Knowledge so that Tribal priorities guide how Bears Ears is cared for.

Bad day to be a Russian thistle! BEP staff and volunteers from Utah Site Stewards, Osprey Packs, and Utah State Parks recently spent a day removing invasive species in a campground in Indian Creek as part of National Public Lands Day.

It’s back to school season, and that means Bears Ears Partnership is busy providing outdoor education to local schools. Earlier this month, we hosted our first field trip of the new school year, bringing the 4th grade classes of Montezuma Creek Elementary to Devil’s Canyon.

This past week, our second meeting of Dark Sky Ambassadors had perfectly dark skies with a brilliant arcing Milky Way, a scattering of meteors, telescope viewing of Saturn and her moons, and constellation tours.
