In an effort to prevent myself doomscrolling I am reaching back to hobbies once more. getting back into cross stitch. Trying to put my phone down. All that. It *is* working*. Asking myself "What could I be MAKING instead of looking at my phone" has done wonders. Even if it's just paper airplanes.

Every single person over the age of 18 should receive $1500 a month.

Hah, so nurse sister lost her temper and hung up on dad when he said he wasn't going to the GP. Seems her ire was enough to make mum and dad go. They probably hoped the GP would tell them not to worry. instead, they've got a referral to the neurology department and they've given him aspirin.

At my wit's end. 84 year old father keeps "losing his balance" and falling. Sometimes multiple times a day. Refuses to see GP and I'm just so angry and frustrated about it.

Tree people came to cut down trees on land that abuts our garden. They did most of them, but didn't touch the giant ash tree "T6" which they were meant to prune branches off of. Weird, but I thought they'd come back the next day. They Did Not. Eventually I emailed and their terse secretary was /1

Got one of those "commission me" scams on AO3. Contacted them on discord out of curiosity. I'm obviously never going to pay, and certainly not $24,000 dollars (!!!)to some unknown rando. #AO3 their username is phantom_drawsxd and they've been reported for tos violation.

Lol so, this person on Tumblr replied to my screenshot about the CW bottom Arthur thing. Except this isn't the CW person. It's someone else who has confused me for another writer friend they have been harassing. I am now getting another writer's daft hate (and they don't write Arthur like that btw)

I'll say it: I think its rly annoying and frankly amateurish that writers are constantly told their villains must be understandable or have sympathetic motivation to be interesting or realistic when all our big villains irl are in fact rich, stupid, selfish, trickster dillweeds and always have been
