Today Show doing Yesterday in Parliament on the BBC scandal (of course).

It covers what Nigel Farage thinks of the BBC even though he couldn't be bothered to appear in Parliament yesterday.

It’s already started - the BBC allows Newsmax boss to opine about bias, suggest some of the Jan 6 mob were merely innocent tourists visiting Congress, without pushback

Let him. Our libel laws are much tougher than he's used to.

Absolutely right. I criticise BBC News, because we need it to be as good as we know it can be. People like Farage criticise the BBC, because they work for its competitors and don't want it to exist.
🎯 Davey is spot on. "We can have criticism of the BBC, but within that, we need to recognise how valuable an institution it is [and how] precious to our country. And that's one of the reasons why people like President Trump and Nigel Farage, want to undermine the BBC." 👏🏽~AA

Alan Carr should legit be a spy. Not only did he win Traitors but just by taking his specs off and not smiling he transforms himself into a man with questionable views on Alan Carr

Maybe Keir should demand the heads of major US news networks any time they imply Britain is on the brink of civil war or that we live under sharia law. Or does it not work both ways?

fireworks going off again. Fortunately Daphne isn't bothered by them but so many animals - pets and wildlife - really suffer when shitwits let them off. They really should only be available to organised, licensed events on specific dates.

I simply do not believe they would have resigned if it was a misleading claim about someone on the left.

How is this different to the HIGNFY claims about digital ID a few weeks ago? The BBC literally laughed it off.

Neither Tim Davie nor Deborah Turness incited an insurrection against the US Capitol. Congressman didn’t have to flee for their lives because of a BBC Panorama edit.

That all happened because of President Donald Trump. If he didn’t resign, it’s truly *insane* that anyone else does.

There's some really big caveats to this. A thread.

Cllr Evans (Ref) is now reading out what Grok, X's AI system, thinks about the various local government reorganisation options. Remarkable.

Unsurprisingly, Grok is a big fan of KCC's one unitary model.

Sorry to keep banging on about the BBC here, but how does this even begin to meet the impartiality test? It's not the BBC's job to write political opinion pieces, especially when they're so jaundiced. (Not a Labour voter, by the way.)

Amazing how upfront and unfiltered he is about his ongoing authoritarian project. The goal is to make sure the opposition can never win, and he flat-out says it.
Trump: "They're gonna make DC a state and they're gonna make Puerto Rico a state. So now they pick up two states, four senators. They're gonna pick up electoral votes. It's gonna be a very, very bad situation. Now, if we do what I'm saying, they'll most likely never obtain power."
