HALLELUJAH!! Their attempt to brainwash the country into a Christofascist cult is backfiring.

‘The U.S. is undergoing its fastest religious shift in modern history, marked by a rapid increase in the religiously unaffiliated and numerous church closures nationwide.’

Lessons from the 1920s: Uniting diverse liberals to save American democracy
As the year ends, we look at how America’s “results-now” mentality is eroding democracy and what a 1920’s reform movement can teach us today. A century ago, during a previous Gilded Age, a band of visionary progressives achieved success challenging inequality, economic upheaval, and threats to democracy. Historian John Fabian Witt argues their genius was in “organizing tens of millions of working-class Americans” across racial lines to make democracy work.

It looks like some employers don't respect the freedom of speech which us older protesters take for granted.”

Next year's artists signed contracts to perform at "The Kennedy Center for Performing Arts." Since a venue with that name no longer exists, and one with a very division name many artists would not wish to be associated with does, they should be able to get out of their contracts.

It has been 395 days of continuous demonstrations in Georgia’s capital, Tbilisi. Our citizens demand the resignation of Georgia's mostly illegitimate and pro-Russian government, the release of political prisoners, and the return to a pro-European course.

Trump’s tariffs cost farmers billions. The farm aid package fails to meet the moment.

How is it that the president can find $40 billion to bail out Argentina and its farmers but offer far less to help Americans here at home?

I don't know if you heard that Jimmy Kimmel was invited to give the "Alternative Christmas Message" to run opposite the one from King Charles. This is it, and I, personally, got a kick out of his last line.

This isn’t complicated. The Epstein Transparency Act is the law.

You can’t have selective transparency. The DOJ is openly breaking the law, and they will be held accountable. No agency is above the law, and this failure will not go unanswered.

In his first year back in office, President Trump's Middle East policy has been characterized by "massive corruption" and self-dealing, says @rhodesben.bsky.social. Aaron David Miller says this approach by Trump is "undermining and skewing our national interest." #Velshi
'Massive corruption' and 'skewing our national interest:' Understanding Trump's Middle East approach
Since returning to office, President Trump has taken on a major role in the Middle East, from brokering a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas in Gaza to deepening ties with Saudi Arabia. Former Deputy National Security Advisor Ben Rhodes calls out Trump's "massive corruption" in cozying up to "these rich, totalitarian or autocratic leaders in the Gulf." Former State Department Senior Advisor for Arab-Israeli Relations Aaron David Miller says that while the ceasefire is a major achievement, "building a bridge to a broader Israeli-Palestinian peace is going to be a very hard lift."

Velshi Banned Book Club: The Incredibly Human Henson Blayze by Derrick Barnes
The Incredibly Human Henson Blayze by Derrick Barnes follows Henson Blayze, a kind and gifted young athlete who is one of the few Black kids in a small town. When his 10-year-old neighbor is beaten nearly to death by two state troopers, Henson is forced to confront a moral crossroads—choosing between what is right and his own athletic ambition. Author Derrick Barnes challenges the belief that sports automatically bring people together, calling it “one of the fallacies of this country.” While sports can unite us, he argues, that only happens when we as a country, “address the issues that have been bogging us down.” Barnes also warns against viewing Black athletes as mere entertainment at the expense of their humanity.
