On my visit to JCB to see their inspirational investment in hydrogen powered equipment a young engineer whispered in my ear “none of us vote Tory here but we keep it quiet to humour the boss!”

True but deeply troubling.

The WHO is the same so dependent on finding friends & donors with access to lots of cash. This undermines effectiveness & deeply damages its reputation and independence.

This tragically runs through so many organisations my experience with the World Bank & its Global Road Safety Program so quickly it became dominated by big donors from auto, alcohol & oil corporates!

Bravo Bernie speaking truth to tyrants as usual! Keep going!
Yes, Mr. President: You’re right. We do have “the worst health care” of any major country.

Despite spending twice as much per capita, we are the only major country not to guarantee health care to all as a human right.

The solution: Medicare for All.

Let’s also honour them by providing their descendants today with great education skills-good jobs amazing homes & healthcare. That is what they also fought for!
It was a privilege to lay a wreath at the Nottingham War Memorial today, in memory of those who made the ultimate sacrifice to defeat fascism, and lives lost in all wars.

Let us honour them by striving towards a world in which everybody has the right to freedom and sovereignty.

He was the unifying force behind the birth of the European Union.

His idea was to unite the French and German coal and steel industries after WWII.

He is Jean Monnet. And today, on his birthday, we honour his role in building the EU as we know it today.

Will anyone in Parliament enquire about the imports of aircraft & other products from Russia? Contrary to the UK ban on trade with Putin’s brother!

My kind of campaigner Rosamund Kissi-Debra at the Royal Courts of Justice every day for the Diesel-gate trial the trial our media is too timid or too lazy to cover!

One of my contributions in Parliament was to inform the House that when I had my DNA checked I was surprised to learn I was 34% Irish with a substantial Scandinavian link at around 30% I urged the Speaker to support all MPs doing the same & sharing the information.

I find this in very poor taste from Holland. Why burn a Margaret Thatcher when there are so many real villains to choose from some of them very close by to Gosmer?
Goodnight from Gosmer, where the villagers have chosen to burn an effigy of Thatcher the Iron Witch instead of Guy Fawkes. Goodnight from David Appleyard, walking a night filled with bonefire incense and the heady gunpowder smell of exploded fireworks. Goodnight from Hookland.

Hasn’t Rupert Murdoch always disliked the royal family? He would surely love an elected president chosen by him & his media empire.

Of course I'm worried about socialism. I mean, just imagine if Mamdani one day becomes President and nationalizes industry, imposes historic tax hikes, goes after the media, builds a secret national police force, militarizes the country, and sends people to camps.

Quentin Letts unreliable!
School pupils are to be taught how to tackle conspiracy theories, spot 'fake news' & root out misinformation. The Daily Mail, ajudged by Wikipedia to be an unreliable new source, is furious. You don't have to be Sherlock Holmes to work out why.

It’s Chinese I’m told.
The Nio ES8 got an update that gave it a new platformy and styling reminiscent of the flagship ES9 sedan.

This car can be had for about $42,000, or the same price as the China-Only Tesla Model Y L three row, provided you opt into Nio’s battery lease program. @insideevs.com
