Because your government answers to more people than you. The folks who want a higher minimum wage aren't great at voting; the ones who want a lower one show up every time.
Why can't our government fulfill the demand that the minimum wage should be significantly higher than it is? Or that Unions should have more power than they do to keep the oligarchs in check. Those types of legislation don't need to cost the public any money, yet would solve a host of problems.

It was so amazing to get to be part of trying all this stuff out the first time. How do we make texture maps? How do we do mocap? How do we make fire that looks real? Physics? Huge worlds? Portals? Figuring this shit out was insanely great.

When Trump said there would be a period of pain, but eventually followed by some respite, this is what he must have meant. 😂

(a) who thinks they can edit a very technical Snazzy Labs video and, (b) do it within the next 48 hours? All assests, b-roll, and everything else is already gathered but would be nice to see some composited charts. Send me your work and price:

I see sustained political instability until one party spends a New Deal-level of money. That will solidify things one way or another. But very differently.
Sir, what do you feel will be the end result of all this calamity? Do you think that the country will return to a semblance of normalcy after this is over or will it further plunge until the US is a state of total anarchy?

It’s a strange situation when we’ve established the POTUS is a criminal, we’re just trying to find a crime his party wouldn’t be okay with.

Found a rust remover recipe: 1 liter of water, add 40g of Soda washing powder, and 100g of citric acid powder. 10-20 minute soak, rinse, and dry. Works well!

@seamus.bsky.social The Maxwell plaque you made, did you use your water jet? I want to make something like that someday for my garage lab. Saw a decent laser cutter at Westec. Might get it. I have access to a CNC mill/lathe, but not a water jet. Btw, took your advice on learning welding.

Sad to hear about June Lockhart's passing away today at 100. A life well lived. Reportedly, she was still reading the NYT & other news sources!
Like many others, I was first introduced to her when she played the mom on Lassie. RIP, June. www.nytimes.com/2025/10/25/a...
