This statement I've seen for the last couple of weeks on my way to and from work. Things would be better that's for sure
Less than a week and I get a new number. Unlike the last couple of years, where it's "Eh, ok." The way I'm feeling is like 2020 and 2021, when I was struggling to find joy in it at all.

the reason people still want to go indie and put themselves at tremendous risk is not wanting to put up with this kind of shit anymore. it's completely insane and completely humiliating how normal it is for companies like this to put people through all kinds of weird torture to prove their worth
3 years ago today, Riot Games offered me a job making more money than I ever thought I’d make in my life. I had 19 interviews over 2.5 months to get it. Partner and I were moving to LA for it. I put in notice at my job and apartment.

Pathfinder session (#15?): Consequences. Think if it were episodic, that would be the fitting title. No one died, but... hey! The Giant finally pulled off a critical success in being Stealth again. Crazy on that sequence too: the natural stealthy one and big guy gets the crit, and the other gets 19.

Pathfinder manana... would folks believe I had another tabletop dream the day before? I was playing with the CR crew and got to a point where everyone else stopped, and I went full-on charge mode. Think I ran into a "Keyfish" moment before waking up, because I remember Matt grabbing a ton of dice.

Also, because of how often I mess with Hero Forge, I was thinking I should try earnestly drawing in 2026. I have a blank sketchbook that I picked up from work, sitting with my stuff here. Also, pretty sure I still have that manga-style book and other tutorials I got decades ago...

Huh.... so that explains that mission in Phantasy Star Online where you had to go to the caves to get a cake from a trio of sisters.
the problem with modern videogame rpgs is they don't have quests like the one in phantasy star, where you need to bribe a governor with cake, but the only cake shop in the entire solar system is on a different planet, at the bottom of a four-floor dungeon, behind a locked door.
