It’s a little over 26 years since I was running around London at the J18 anti-capitalist protests.
I remember the press spin was that borderless, unregulated global capitalism was brilliant and we were all just jealous we weren’t rich.
I really wish people had listened and understood.

I like the idea that those who suffer depression have fae blood, and it’s a subconscious reaction to being disconnected from your magic.

It’s why nature helps so much.

“Lest We Forget”.
Seventy-five years ago, Britain helped write the European Convention on Human Rights to keep power in check and protect basic freedoms. That legacy is now under threat. Read our piece on why the ECHR still matters and why defending it means defending Britain’s own values.

The only thing that stood in the way of the greens was the idea that a vote for them would hand the keys to someone else.

“You can’t have what you want, you have to choose the least worst of those you don’t”.

Let’s put that myth to rest shall we?

The level of dangerous batshittery from Trump today, leads me to believe the following :
US nukes are out of date,
the people prosecuting the Jan 6 coup have some new dirt on him,
and that progress has been made into releasing the Epstein files.

The Industrial Revolution never really stopped, did it?

It used to be “We own the land now, you’ve got to work in our factories to make money to spend on surviving”

Now we’ve got “We own your money, communication, entertainment, food, shelter and rights. You’ve got to work in our factories”.

The super rich don’t want to pay their share. Not because they think it will make them poor, but because their power is dependent on us not having enough. The less we have, the more we must fawn over them to survive.
The argument that it wouldn’t impact their finances to be taxed, misses the point.

There’s just been a longboard surf competition at an artificial wave in Dubai. Really disappointed in the number of people who claim to be advocates for human rights and environmentalism, that went and competed or to support and are gleefully promoting the event.
