They/Them
I defeated my clothes struggle pile! And... next week it'll all have to get pulled out and shuffled to another house. But at least I briefly have a clearer floor.

There's nothing quite like making a tiny custom cardboard protector for your rabbit skull on a Monday night. In other news, the partner and I bought a house and now I need to relocate all of my items.

Watched @bloopino.bsky.social play Word Worm, immediately bought Word Worm, and can confirm, it works on the Steam Deck and even with the touch screen. Yesss. Word time! Let's get wormin'!

I can barely tell a Hyundai from a Honda (I am exaggerating slightly for comedic effect), but I can absolutely spot a Ford Model T on a trailer from a mile away.

Ah my freaking eyes! Nothing like an ophthalmology appointment and an eye dilation to make you appreciate your vision!

A lil while ago @kness.bsky.social had a contest to win a ceramic worry stone and I won one! It arrived today and has barely left my fidgety little fingers!

Seriously though, the thick wavy red outline HEAVILY implies that this is a meteorological blob. But the Northern Ireland shape is a giveaway. This has been drawn by someone who’s been told “fill in central Scotland and Northern Ireland” and make it look weathery.
The invisible anti-storm barrier at the UK/Ireland border seems to be doing its job.

I can't make out with my partner and I don't know how I'm going to survive this healing time without my smooches.

I got a smartwatch and it keeps telling me I either don't get enough sleep cycles or I sleep too long. How do I get better sleep without getting longer sleep? How? You are just giving me information with no assistance.

Say something positive Bambi: I got to hug my mum at the weekend. I held on too long and she asked "what's this for?" I'm so terrified that every time I see her will be the last.

Also I'm sorry I don't post here. I don't post anything anywhere. I try to keep everything inside where it is safe and can't hurt anyone other than meeeeee. (Depression still rules my brain, though the anxiety is Much Better because of the pills I take)

Thought Bubble is this weekend and I wish I could go but I know I'd never physically manage. I'm pretty isolated and I miss the things I used to be passionate about as well as the time when my leg didn't hurt 24/7 and also actually having a mode of transport (before it rebelled and smashed my leg).

Had a dream where I went to my favourite con (T Bubs) and searched for the only person who I wanted to see and they gave me a really big hug as I explained I hadn't been back because divorce and broken leg and Things. I woke up while still being in that dream embrace. I almost cried.

Oh no, oh dear, a very wonderful queer regency graphic novel by @haridraws.bsky.social arrived in the middle of my workday and I'm already on Chapter Two! Sorry job, you are considerably less enticing than finding out about George and Charlotte and Eleanor.

Recently every time someone asks how I am I want to respond "Screaming, crying, alone and afraid" which it turns out is a Machine of Death/This is How You Die story title. So. Uh. Yeah. That's how I'm feeling. Time to reread that story I guess.

Oh. Oh gosh you're so right. At my dad's house there was no TV (this was pre internet so nothing more advanced either) but he made sure to have a plentiful crafts supply. My brothers would paint miniatures and I would make ocean creatures and stick them on rulers to use as puppets behind the sofa.
I once heard someone say "all little kids draw, Artists are the ones who never stopped drawing." But we've got a whole generation of kids who aren't being given a chance to start drawing, never given a chance to tap into that part of their humanity. How grim!

(Also this whole thread is excellent.)
I saw someone mention how they never give kids crayons in restaurants anymore because they’re all on iPads and had this “holy shit” moment realizing what a completely different trajectory my life would have gone on if my parents used phone games to keep me pacified when I was bored instead of paper
