I wasn't pumped for the 1st Beard year because of all the bullshit surrounding Beard, but the team he assembled was at least good on paper and won a game in March. This 1st Miller year is just...so mid. There's no reason to believe this team is making noise in March, or even playing in the tourney

Also, while well sourced and brings up an interesting viewpoint, it doesn’t prove they were not working together. Even if the pact was defensive in nature it was offensive in effect. You don’t need idealogical alignment to work together.

I don’t think people realize how exceptionally rare it is that the winner of a P4 conference wasn’t even ranked. Don’t blame the committee for having JMU in the playoff. Blame the ACC and Miami for being incapable of winning a conference championship.

A&M was 11-0 headed in Austin, ranked #3. They will end the season 11-2 with this home playoff loss to Miami. Some are calling it the biggest fraud of the century. Others a generational season choke.
