Rule for tossing stuff between PCs during a fight.
The thrower rolls 1d6. The catcher throws 1d6. They want to get within 1 pip of each other. eg 3 and 4. Each can adjust their die by an amount equal to dex mod. Each adjacent enemy “pulls” their result away from the other by 1.

You know what I’d really like to know? Ya’ll who write 100 item tables or books full of tables. The stuff that’s immune to outlining. How do you do THAT?
I write the back of the book first, as my pitch to myself. Until I can write one for a book I’d read, I don’t do anything else. Once I have it, I outline it in headings, to have an idea of the scope. Then, I sketch out what lies under those headings, but don’t write it yet. Then I fill in the gaps.
Ttrpg writers, what’s your best methods to get ideas for an adventure down into actual writing? I know “just write” but I’m looking for structures, steps, procedures etc that will make that unclimbable wall of the blank page a little more manageable and turn the notes into something Real.
