Running a tiny hardware shop in this day and age is always going to be a tale of ups and downs - but today...

Unperturbed, in the dark, I loudly narrated a 5 minute odyssey of undiscovered lands, lost civilisations, and cannibalism before emerging with the aforementioned wine.

So, the last scenario of Cthulhu by Gaslight I wrote had a sorcerer out of old Averoigne turn up in 1888 London.
My next (which I started running last week) has the group up in Scotland, where I’ve already begun to unleash more CAS influences with the search for a missing amateur archaeologist…

Is it bonkers? Yes. Does it throw all sorts of odd stuff in for good measure? Yes. Is it for everyone? Blimey, likely not.
That said, you know what? I’m actually really very fond of it.
It’s funny, has a great soundtrack, and is just about spot on for Sunday afternoon fantasy adventure daftness.

Given that it was RPG books for a system I don't run - but I like the setting quite a lot - it was hardly a matter of life and death. I just feared my purchase doomed to the ever-hungry maw of lost post!

Finally pinned down the situation for my group's next Cthulhu by Gaslight game, so I've spent the afternoon looking at maps, digging up history, and being grateful for pubs/inns that make a point of including their origins on their webpages.
