You'd see a working class American, one medical debt away from complete homelessness, "angry" that their favourite Black or Latino actor didn't win an award. And they'd take this actor not being given an award as an "insult" to Black folks, Latinos, or any other exploited ethnicity they come from.

Cos yeah, as a working class nonwhite person in the US, beyonce or bad bunny not winning an award is exactly what's holding back the liberation of Black folks, Latinos, and other nonwhite oppressed peoples. Cos yeah, for Black folks to be liberated, beyonce needs to win a grammy.

And he was probably right. Americans are the most heavily propagandised and brainwashed people you'd ever meet. They're also easily distracted with fluff and empty shiny things. I feel like the only way for the American working class to wake up is for things to get a lot, lot worse, for them.

I also feel like the more we start seeing anti imperialist movements (like you have in Burkina Faso, Niger, and Mali) popping up in nonwestern countries, and life gets more expensive for working class people in western countries, the more these working class westerners will wake up.
