Another way of looking at this is if each of the US’s 19,000 cities, towns & villages had their own solar thermal plant, THE MEAN AVERAGE would be 2sq km or .77sq miles.

Less than a square mile doesn’t seem so bad, does it.
One ~182km x ~211km solar thermal plant could provide all of America’s electricity, including a fully-electrified land transport sector.

100% clean power from just 0.39% of U.S land.

That’s why renewables are constantly under attack from the fossil fuel industry and their paid mouthpieces.

It builds an arena that’s too small, a stadium with no roof, and removes park space just to make the finances look viable. Once again, we’re repeating the mistakes that have held Ottawa back.

Lansdowne 2.0 doesn’t give Ottawa what it needs. The plan is built around the limits of a public-private deal that leaves the city with hundreds of millions in new debt for a project that won’t serve residents well.

We all owe so much to the lawyers fighting to keep people from being disappeared, keeping people from being sent to overseas prisons, to keep families together (including Ruben Torres, whose daughter has cancer).

Wow, sad irony! #climate #athsma
This is pretty grossly misleading. 90-95% of this footprint is associated w/life cycle emissions of manufacturing - and almost nothing from the use of the inhalers (see the Supp Info linked below). Should manufacturing in general reduce it's emissions? Sure, but that isn't specific to asthmatics.

I have no words. Everyone prepared for the constitutional crisis of the President defying the SCOTUS. The crisis is the SCOTUS being fully aligned with Trump’s vision of presidential power. So here we are.
BREAKING: The Supreme Court allows the Trump administration to move forward with the abolition of the Department of Education. It gives no explanation for its order. All three liberals dissent. www.documentcloud.org/documents/25...
