This is weird, the RFP for SEPTA to buy new trolley buses has been extended a lot, it's now due in December, the original due date was in June

Also, New Flyer and Solaris are the interested builders according to the attendance of the pre-bid meeting

SEPTA looking for consultants for the Silverliner VI procurement. Needed to help receive and grade out proposals, design and execute facilities upgrades, and basically be able to fly out and make sure the builder isn't doing anything boneheaded that'll mess things up

The new New Avengers run references how a bunch of Marvel's heroes canonically have a cosmic scale body count after the 2013-2015 Avengers run (and Marvel editorial's decision to ignore the fact that storyline ends with its events being undone and just continue as if they weren't)

Well, obviously, the solution here is to enforce my proposal for ending the balkanization of Greater Wildwood and institute One Big Wildwood (OBWW)

Wondering why no one likes your posts anymore, even among your friends? It's because @jay.bsky.team and team have decided to hide a huge amount of content from all of our feeds by default.

Here's how to turn it off.

So anyway, that just leaves the Broad Street Line and the P&W waiting for their fleet renewals

BSL could be any number of subway platforms. The P&W is going to be the interesting one whether they end up wanting to automote it, adapt something, or buy something goofy from Stadler or whoever

Found a YouTube channel that's been digitizing film reels one of which was someone filming the last day of service to Reading Terminal. Imagine that station approach nowadays had we not gotten the tunnel

Also Temple Station used to look like crap before Railworks in the 1990s

TBH not a ton new in this beyond work is progressing, the 127 bus is underinsured, and Shapiro, Parker and have been receptive and talking with Duffy since The Letter from a little while ago

"Your honor, this cannot possibly be pertinent razzing as regards this trial"
Defense tells judge they want to question Lairmore about 'gag gifts' he received from fellow officers after the alleged assault, including a Subway sandwich plush toy and a patch that (unless I misheard) said 'Felony Footlong.'

Prosecutors object. Defense argues they reflect CBP 'state of mind.'

I think they focused on problems with ridership scale in this, but there's also problems with the scale of maintenance. Like SEPTA can probably roll microtransit into their bus maintenance scheme because it's just buses, but CamdenGo probably has to go back to the dealers who sold them the cars

Illinois will effectively eliminate parking minimum requirements in ~all of Chicago and much of its suburbs thanks to the transit funding bill that passed last night.
Also contains parking reform! This is a preliminary map of Chicagoland based on the People Over Parking Act provision.

It would also apply downstate though!
