You absolute moron.

Elon Musk is deliberately using his platform to poison our politics and divide our country.

It's time for the government to wake up to the threat he poses to our democracy.

Cmon, during those episodes, our constitution had not yet 'evolved to the point where a general election should be called'. Only now has it evolved far enough.
*Unless it is Cameron being replaced by May, May being replaced by Johnson, Johnson being replaced by Truss, or Truss being replaced by Sunak.

It is only if Starmer goes.

Can anyone explain why the Government is still doing most of its communications through a website whose owner is now openly rallying the far right to trigger a violent insurrection on our streets?

Margaret Thatcher’s sale of 1.9m council homes cost public purse £200bn. Tories bought votes.

Policy fuelled shortages in social housing, turbocharged inequality.

One in six private tenants in England now rents a former local authority home.

Councils lack resources to build new homes.

Trooping the Colour, how much do you pay for this ridiculous charade?

£20,000,000

That is 800 Nurses, 500 Doctors or 1000 Teachers.

We need all of them, we don't need this.

The UK needs a single left wing party that is about nationalising the Public Services, taxing the rich, and making everybodies lives better at the expense (literally) of the richest.

If the fines for crimes were like the fines for Water Companies you would only have to pay a tiny fraction of your profits and you would be able to claim it back by billing your victims more.

They want to leave the ECHR because it will allow them to abolish the State Pension, the Minimum Wage, and paid holiday and sick leave.

It would make them tens of billions a year.

But of course they say immigration, because they can't tell you the real reason.

Don't think there is a "right" way to do things.

People still tell me how eloquently I spoke at my father's funeral - not knowing I broke apart 6 months later.

Most importantly - do t try and be strong.

Not for you or those around you.

Be what you can.
Grieve as you must.

This is beyond nasty.

Doesn’t matter what political party you are part of or what your opinion is of someone, you always wish them the best when they are very unwell.

Biden called Trump after his staged assassination attempt. This thing below is so low that he’s the pus that leaks out of scum cones.

Aye, the idea that Farage's big state turn is anything more than an effort to politically profit off of anger at our broken economy - thanks in no small part to the economic dogma he really believes in, plus his Brexit - is for the birds.
I was raised among working class folk who would have crossed the road to avoid Farage. My understanding of the working class is the same as John Steinbeck: “If you’re in need go to the poor people. They’re the only one’s that’ll help – the only ones”

on pointing out the soaring rise in immigration “since we completed Brexit” - a key factor. This should be pointed out to Farage (who championed Brexit) in every interview

This is so stupid.

Money from international students already subsidises the education of home students.

That's how underfunded universities have been able to keep going.
On universities the white paper only reduces the graduate visa from two years to 18 months (which is a win for the DfE).

The bigger thing universities will be worrying about is this little timebomb.

Today's performative clampdown on migrants will gut our care homes of desperately needed staff.

We are *already* short of over 150k carers.

Banning foreign care workers will only exacerbate this - increasing suffering of society's most vulnerable members & pressures on the NHS.

It's madness.

"whataboutism" is when someone deflects from an important question without answering it.

It's not when someone tells a Harpers Free Speech type "Trump's gestapo are snatching students for thought crime in the campus paper - your assessment of who the authoritarians are was *never* correct"
There is an epidemic of whataboutism—on the left and right. People can’t engage an issue on its own merits.
