X Black Influencers You Need to Follow for Black History Month
The origin of Black History Month is traceable back to 1915 when historian Carter G. Woodson created the Association for the Study of Negro Life and History. By 1926, the foundation declared that "Negro History Week" was the second week of February. Finally, in 1976, the celebration was expanded to include the entire month of February. Black people deserve to be celebrated all the time, but it is especially important during Black History Month.

This administration is trying to kill us from every angle I stg. My antidepressants keep me here. They're gonna get so many people killed, I genuinely hope they drop dead from heart attacks jfc I will pray for it. This shit can't go on.
Trump’s latest executive order (that was no doubt written by psychopath RFK Jr.) goes after antidepressants.

As someone whose life was saved by them, you will pry my prozac from my cold dead hands.

If you’ve followed me for any period of time, you’ve seen me talk about how critical it is to engage locally.

This is a perfect example why.

A group of regular people got together, figured out a way to help their community, and did what elected leaders wouldn’t 👇🏾
“We’ve shown that we can create the changes we want to see, and not wait for those in power to create it for us. We have the power to stand up to the oligarchs and corporations who don’t want to pay a dollar more in taxes to solve the housing crisis affecting the community that foster their success”

This is heartening to see! The resistance is beginning.

I know we are tired. I know we are fearful. But we will make ourselves heard and reclaim this country from the grip of MAGA fascism.

I’ve seen the inside of barbed wire prison camps in America. We came back from that and shall overcome this.
The People’s March is moving through the streets of Washington: “We won’t go back!”

A broad coalition of activists — among them climate, women’s rights, immigration, anti-war, LGBT, D.C. statehood, racial justice — are mobilizing in unison against Trump, three days before his inauguration. 🧵

You should be as excited for your friends success and achievements just as much as your own. This society has made us all believe that there isn't enough money to go around, so we can't support our friends and have them "take up a seat".
