I've been listening to a lot of playlists lately and wanting a way to learn more about the currently playing artist without pulling out my phone. I put together a little raspberry pi setup to sit on our shelves and display info about the current playing artist.

I can see why digital preservation would be especially powerful for AI models but it’s a shame this isn’t the baseline for all tech companies; it would be so valuable for someone like Apple to maintain an archive of every artefact they’ve ever released.
Glad to see this commitment by Anthropic. Preserving models is a low-cost move that could have safety and welfare benefits. Hopefully we'll see other companies commit to this as well www.anthropic.com/research/dep...

I used to think Electron apps were a bit of a hack but I’ve completely flipped: the Web’s UI model is just so much richer than any native toolkit and keeps advancing rapidly. I do think there’s some low-hanging fruit to make them feel more native though.

The #1 criteria for my browser is that I trust it, and it’s secure. It’s logged into my email, Stripe account, stores my passwords and credit cards.
A browser is useful if it does all these.
These AI browsers are interesting but… with prompt injections, no way I trust them…
