People need to be more careful about sharing this. It literally has two warnings on it not to share.

A large part of my brain knows the players decide the game when my favourite team plays.

A larger part of my brain thinks me having my coffee in a team mug and wearing the jersey at home just right decided the game.

I am 35.

A man in Indiana made an AT-AT costume for his horse, intending to only get a few pictures before removing it. When he took off the headpiece the horse got upset and insisted that he put it back on, which made the horse happy again. Now the horse isn't allowing him to remove any piece of the costume

Last night, my football dreams came true. A play I’ve yelling about online for about a decade happened in an actual NFL game—the first fair catch kick since 1978.

Here’s everything there is to know about this impossibly rare play, the NFL’s vestigial tailbone: open.substack.com/pub/rodgersh...

New nfl rule - QBs can't toss it away whilst being held/touched by a defender.

5 yard penalty from the spot of the foul + loss of down.

i just want to double down on this. d’onofrio’s “egger” performance is unreal. like, you immediately accept with no hesitation that this man you are watching is a giant alien cockroach in a human suit, and it’s all done with make-up and physical acting. a top ten hollywood physical performance.
also vincent d’onofrio was robbed of his best supporting actor nomination and win

ok so a little about me: if your rule change proposal starts with "imagine if you could ... " I'm gonna immediately say no

if I wanted to do whatever it is you're imagining I'd play another game
From @theathletic.bsky.social: The Golden At-Bat rule would change everything about how baseball — the ultimate team sport — has always worked. We broke down how it would work and how it's likely to be received by players, front offices and the baseball gods. nyti.ms/3Vj7gJW

As a fairly casual NBA fan, without a lot of ability to break down plays, I'd love to see this Pistons team with a 7 footer who can defend just to understand and appreciate the difference.

Duren looks so uncomfortable and ineffective all of the time.

Someone with a keener eye than me - how much of this is luck v poor perimeter defence?

12-20 seems unsustainable
Meanwhile, Charlotte's 11-19 from 3 overall and has hit one in response to seemingly every Pistons bucket this quarter. Pistons are trailing again, 55-50

I kinda thought the Cup was poorly timed.

I like the NBA - I'm always interested in the first 15-20 games for my team.

If you want me to be more interested in the regular season, move the Cup games to the period I am no longer interested in the regular season.
This would seemingly defeat the stated purpose of making games in November/December more meaningful.
NBA and Amazon have had "active discussions" about moving the NBA Cup back later in the league's schedule to coincide with end of the NFL season, Jeff Kaiser, Amazon's head of sports programming, said at SBJ media conference. NBA Cup quarters, semis and final will be on Amazon in the new media deal.

Feels petty that Manly decline to play their home game against the Broncos up there, and suddenly are thrust to the bye. So exactly on brand for PVL
Thoughts on the #NRLMagicRound schedule?

Will Friday still attract a big crowd? Will Saturday still bring in the fans? And HOW GOOD IS SUNDAY?
