I tried to provide a simple guide to assessing which senators are ready and willing to battle back from Trumpist autocracy and which aren’t.

huh, that's interesting. once you see the comparison, it becomes very obvious why one is better. would not have noticed it before
The font would appear to be English 111 Adagio CE, available for the highly presidential sum of just $39.75 USD

Note "The" is not kerned correctly

Ppl need to understand what's happening here.

The GOP response to the shutdown was: You're gonna cave, or we're going to hurt vulnerable people by shutting off SNAP. The Dems, unwilling to let that happen, caved.

Having watched that, the GOP is now saying: "Give us what we want on abortion or ..."

as someone with two children who are talented at math and need (especially the younger one) a lot of help with social and emotional stuff this makes me want to scream

please help your children learn to interact with the world, it will make their lives (and everyone else’s!) so much easier
I think the belief by the powerful that "people will put up with many things if you are excellent at math" is incredibly revealing in terms of understanding How We Got Here

“Traditionally, presidents have issued pardons to right a wrong or to protect those who have been falsely accused of wrongdoing. In 2025, if Trump sees a convicted criminal as an ally, or even the relative of an ally, that’s apparently all the president needs to know.”
“You’re a Republican official convicted of corruption charges? You get a pardon. You helped finance the president’s stablecoin and put money in the Trump family’s pockets? You get a pardon.” www.msnbc.com/rachel-maddo...

I had never heard of this system before I read the article linked in this thread and OH MY GOD it sounds so obviously wrong on its face (the article has plenty of science to back up that it's wrong) that I'm shocked it ever got anywhere in the first place.
ever since I learned about three-cueing I've developed infinitely more patience for replies on social media. mfers literally do not know how to read. people are walking around conjuring random meanings into words they don't know, and they don't know a lot of words. it's crazy

This is the other one. With fossil fuels, discovery costs rise while tech costs fall, meaning prices stay roughly the same (inflation-adjusted) over time. With electrotech, discovery costs are $0, so the only dynamic is falling tech costs. Victory is inevitable.

It’s not at the top of my list, but we need to reform the pardon power.
"But the true message—the prospective message—is that pardons will be available to everyone who joins him in election subversion in 2026 and 2028. This wave of preemptive pardons is a permission slip, an encouragement for election subversion in the future."

Pardon the Corruption
Trump’s blanket pardons for stop-the-steal illegality aren’t only about settling scores from past elections. They’re about laying the groundwork to subvert future ones.

Dems will almost certainly flip one seat on Utah's new congressional map if it stands.

It creates a safely blue Harris+24 seat in Salt Lake City, replacing a GOP gerrymander that split the SLC area four ways to ensure every seat was dark red.
