Was worried about black eyed peas & greens because every store in town was out of ham hocks, but then the local carniceria saved us with smoked pork neck at $3 per lb. Any prosperity for the next year is thanks to the rich diaspora of cultures here in the US for which we should all be thankful 🍜

I started my year harvesting produce from our garden in the drizzling rain.
