@sethcotlar.bsky.social this is essentially the same argument that Jackson made for “voluntary” relocation of Native tribes in the South, right? The idea that people care more about material conditions than their homeland, so they’ll willingly sell their land and move to make way for settlers
A professor of law at George Mason University in DC, who lists his location as DC/Jerusalem, is telling us that carpet bombing a land to force people to flee for their lives or face starvation and death is just a case of “unemployment”, not ethnic cleansing. Oh he’s also an “expert” on the issue.
