They were back to reporting on school finance tonight, but only one mention of recapture (not calling it Robin Hood) at the very end to say they would do a story next week.

This week was just talking about deficits and the basic allotment.
Last night's @fox7austin.bsky.social 9pm and 10pm broadcasts were replaced by the FOX LOCAL broadcast from the mothership. No explanation given.

They were supposed to air an On Your Side segment about recapture, "Robin Hood Gone Wrong", and even advertised it during primetime.

Coincidence? 🤨

I know people mean well. But surely if you hashtag LNY, you must know there's a reason people have been adopting that over CNY.

The district paid their $17.9M balance on 8/16, FTR. They now show a negative balance of $6.6M on the ledger.
During the run-up to the #RRISD bond election, the antis started insinuating that the district was misrepresenting or possibly fraudulently reporting enrollment numbers. The basis for this was the Summary of Finances report which suddenly showed a dip in numbers in the beginning of September.
