Okay, let's start a thread for nonviolent #civildisobedience
Please post your ideas to make things uncomfortable. Please share so that others can make use of them.

Stars are blah blah. "As these bright dreams encounter one another..."
Yes, it will likely be a darling cut, but I'm leaving it in for now.

Congratulations to all the Democratic candidates who won tonight. It’s a reminder that when we come together around strong, forward-looking leaders who care about the issues that matter, we can win. We’ve still got plenty of work to do, but the future looks a little bit brighter.

Sometimes, offline, I feel like my house is the only piece of sanity in a surreal reality.
This election wasn't just about voice and power. It was about hope.
The last 12 months have caused me to lose hope, over and over. Once again, that hope has returned.

it's time for journos to start asking Johnson meta questions
"Speaker, on 5 occasions last week you said 'I haven't seen it' when asked about news events w/big implications for public policy. Do you ever read the news, and do you agree it's problematic for the Speaker to be so woefully uninformed?"

oh just straight up gutter racism!
So here's Andrew Cuomo reacting to Maria Bartiromo wondering if Mamdani will "change the look of New York" and have Muslim women "completely covered up," telling her that Mamdani "doesn't understand New York culture" because he has "dual citizenship" and "he's a citizen of Uganda."

During non-midterm years, the House usually takes votes in October. They did even during the shutdown in 2013. But there have been no votes this year since the Friday before Grijalva became the 218th Epstein vote.

Q: What's your reaction to yesterday's purge of senior ICE officials? When is it time for Congress to do some oversight?
MIKE JOHNSON: I don't know any of the details of that yet. I just heard about that, literally I was walking in.
