Looks like this week in #WelcomeToDairy, it’s women talking to bring the plot forwards; I love this episode already. Here’s hoping Lily’s housekeeper survives this episode.

Learning loss was an ableist concept created by the same people now pumping ai into schools, and feeding student data into ATS systems to reduce their life chances.
It has allowed young people to be written off as damaged.
And as David says- we ignore the impact of a mass death/disabling event
Every time Covid and learning loss hits the news, people act like the only factor is folk staying home and learning online, rather than… Living through a global mass death event.

I’m rewatching the Barbie movie and weeping through America Ferrera’s monologue about all the contradictions of being a woman and how fucking exhausting everything is. And what an amazing monologue it is! This is such an amazing fucking screenplay.

Poor Carol — with only Golden Girls and generic Xanax for company, the poor woman is understandably terrified when most of the world is either dead or hive mind. What a depressogenic space indeed. // and of course, the Sprouts grocery is sparse. // “I just want my Sprouts back.” #Pluribus

Damn Indigo’s mom in SoHo, asking your own daughter for her keys back is just cold. Then using her shrink as an excuse… that’s colder… #BettyHBOMax

Review: Propelled by Théodore Pellerin and Stefanie Scott, ‘At First Light’ is science fiction on an intimate scale
“At First Light,” written and directed by Jason Stone, takes a Spielbergian science-fiction story and wraps it in a gritty but hopeful indie package.

Well after noping out of a terrifyingly well made found footage film, I’m trying this Gravitas Verture: At first light (2018). Dollar General sighted. Alien encounter promised. Let’s do this!

Yall I am old! I just started watching Euphoria and the character I can most relate to is Rue’s mom — I’ve had my fair share of calls to insurance trying to the get the coverage I know I deserve. #EuphoriaHBOMax #TVYellingWithKat

Tonight, 🐈🐈‍⬛ brought me 📼 of Hedda — Nia DaCosta’s adaptation of Ibsen’s Hedda Gabler — beautiful, tragic, and oh so messy (the characters, not the production itself).

The feral cats left a 📼 of Predator: Badlands. Such a wonderful time! Got some found family feels (including a well-earned close-enough-to-hug-to-matter [you had to be there]). Plus first time onscreen I’ve seen alpha of wolf pack explained (correctly!) as one who best protects the pack. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5

Visited a local food pantry. Left with several big box stores’ castoffs and RAGE. All I saw was tax cuts via diverted food waste. And poor people lack many things — including time! #SNAPConstituent #RighteousFury #PoorPeopleCantMakeEverythingFromScratch #JustFruitAndVegIsntEnough

Kevin Spacey was WAY too good at portraying John Doe in Se7en. This should have been some kind of warning sign. A massive series of 🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩.

My usual advice is to write alt text as if you're trying to verbally describe the key parts of the image to a blind person. This works well because quite frequently that is precisely what you are doing. 1/3

If your alt text could be used as an image caption in a newspaper or magazine it's not good alt text.

Image captions are supplementary to those images.

Alt text is meant to provide the same information as the image does, but in text.

I choose to believe that the madman priest from #REC — who tried to create a biological model for demon possession (what a wrongheaded endeavor all around) and created a zombie plague as a side effect — was wrong from the very beginning. There were//are no demons, unless you fought himself. His fury
