Learned quite a lot about interactions, thresholds, and synergistic effects from @ashunephro.bsky.social in this analysis of albuminuria, heart failure, and CKD progression. Our findings emphasize albuminuria as a key biomarker for CKM health. 🫘

Delighted to share our study published in @jaccjournals.bsky.social led by @sophieclaudel.bsky.social. We demonstrated deleterious synergy between albuminuria and heart failure as risk factors for CKD progression.

Excited to share this research letter looking at albuminuria values in healthy adults! We followed IFCC guidelines for establishing references ranges, which had not previously been shown in the literature, and consider what “normal” should be by sex.
We sought to quantify the upper limit of normal for albuminuria among US adults by the IFCC standard. Our study led by @sophieclaudel.bsky.social “Albuminuria References Ranges in Healthy US Adults”

Adults with higher levels of albuminuria within the low range (UACR <30 mg/g) and no major cardiovascular risk factors have higher risks of cardiovascular and all-cause mortality. academic.oup.com/eurjpc/artic... @sophieclaudel.bsky.social
