Meet the newest member - GW231123. An amazing talk by Amanda Farah on the observed population of compact binary mergers. Cool graphics by Simona Miller.

Favorite plots from the day, which were presented by Prof. Yuta Michimura. The plots summarized some key points on the technique for minimizing noise for different parts of the power spectrum.l, sensitivity evolution of LVK, and all the cool science that can be done by next gen detectors!

Sharing a basic introduction to the literature of my field

Binary Neutron star papers (created with observablehq.com/@guillaume-l...)

It's been an intense year of reading BNS papers, and modeling them - had to make this.

People who study relativity like to "conformally compactify" spacetime, creating a finite patch of coordinates, and attaching a boundary. This makes it possible to talk about going to "infinity" more precisely. This turns Minkowski space into what they call a "diamond".

Seems like this app is getting busier - lots of very cool people in these starter packs! 😎
Welcome to BSky, new friends! 🙋‍♂️

If you're into astronomy and space, then def. follow the folks on these three starter packs:

1. Australia/NZ space communities: go.bsky.app/QPStoRT

2. Global astronomers: bsky.app/starter-pack...

3. Planetary scientists: bsky.app/starter-pack...

Pass it on! 🔭🧪
