Last year, we wrote about survivor Taylor Cadle. When she was 12, she told police she’d been raped. They said she was lying and charged her with false reporting. She then took the extraordinary measure of recording the next act of abuse.

Now, Taylor has legal counsel and filed a lawsuit.

Just because federal employees aren't surprised doesn't mean they aren't mad. "I liked the fact that I still had the capacity for disappointment,” said one furloughed worker.

I think there should generally be more grace given to journalists for errors, as some can come as a result of brain fog related to chronic illness etc. But, when it comes to mistakes that promote transphobia, racism etc, I feel like most publications underreact to that.
