Supreme Court won’t hear challenge to landmark gay marriage ruling
The announcement indicates there is not an appetite among the high court’s conservative majority to revisit one of the court’s most significant decisions in recent years.

Today, the Supreme Court did the right thing by denying review of a petition that sought to challenge the freedom to marry for same-sex couples.
That’s because marriage equality has helped millions of Americans take care of each other, build stability, + plan for the future.

The elimination of the filibuster at the start of the Trump administration would be the most disastrous thing to happen for trans people federally.
The policies it would usher in would make what we've seen the first 11 months feel like a cakewalk.

If they eliminate the filibuster, it means national bans on gender affirming care, bathroom bans, a sports ban, gender marker bans, elimination of legal recognition etc. It will make life unlivable for trans people in the US, even in blue states. It's a worst case scenario.
