ICYMI: My latest horror flash out in @pseudopod.org featuring:
🔮 enchanted snow globes
👩‍🎨 a helicopter mom
🎨 art & crafts
☃️ winter vibes

If you're looking for a short, creepy read do check out "My Heart in a Snow Globe" in the July issue! ❄️
❄️🔮I haven't written much in a while but an old horror flash of mine "My Heart in a Snow Globe" resurfaced in @pseudopod.org last month. It's a lil dark, twisty tale about motherhood as an art & the things we'd do to protect our loved ones. I hope you enjoy reading it!

PseudoPod 984: Flash on the Borderlands LXXIV: Thy Shields Between Them and the Light
“The spears of the day shall not touch them, the chains of the sun shall not hale them forth.” Beneath a forest canopy of flowering trees and fruiting vines, there lived a talented beetle.

wow I was not prepared for some jupiter discourse today
Oh boy is it time to go on yet another tear about my deep antipathy toward and suspicion of Jupiter
What does everyone think of Jupiter?

True, though I'll expand this to any artwork - games, music, books, short stories, knitting, you name it - I guarantee that telling them directly will make their day ("likes" and "reposts" are fine, but personalized engagement is where the secret sauce is at)
Please, never be shy telling an author you loved their books.

It’s seriously what gets us through.

Lost my rabbit today. She was my last, having given away my several other rabbits, over the years. So much for trying to begin 2026 afresh, w the hope of healing. I hope wherever her soul is, there's sunshine, grass and safety. :(

We're so cold. 💔😭

Rain and cold are destroying us.
Donations have stopped, and a breadwinner owns a tent.
My kids freeze every night.
I need $250 to buy a tent to protect us.
Any donation, even the smallest one, can save lives 🙏💔

so I've been toying w the idea of starting a Substack to talk about grief, care-giving & reflections on healing, trauma and agency. would that be something you guys might be interested in reading?

I mainly want to do this to get back to writing & keep a personal record while working though loss.

📚💙 My last book review of 2025 wherein I discuss Seamus Sullivan's gorgeous and elegiac debut novella, DAEDALUS IS DEAD which I read shortly after my father passed, and blended interestingly with my own messy feelings of grief.
“A short and searing book that had me in tears by the end, DAEDALUS IS DEAD is perfect for anyone in the mood for Greek mythological retellings or an elegiac mediation on masculinity, grief, and fatherhood.” @architamittra reviews Seamus Sullivan

ngl, it's just day 2 of 2026, and I'm already exhausted from cleaning + housework with so many more chores piled up and finally sitting down to freelance while freezing in this sudden coldwave🥶. god, winter is meant for rest, not for summoning impossible reserves of energy & ploughing through.

Please help Soumi survive and rebuild her life after she lost her life savings to a scam. She's a valuable member of our SFF community and needs all the help she can get! 👇
As the end of the year approaches, I'm grateful to those who donated to help me through my difficult situation. Thank you so much. However, donations have stopped entirely & I'm still struggling to survive. I'll be grateful if you could help me reach at least 50% of my goal.
I sincerely thank @keiralekseii.bsky.social for setting up the GFM and @xiranjayzhao.bsky.social for their guidance throughout the process. Please help.
