Today's #DailyPuzzleChallenge solution was stumbled across completely unexpectedly. I had the skeleton outline of the right side locked in early, and then figured I'd spend about 5 minutes trying to fill in the rest. But on about the 3rd or so try, a minute in, this just happened.

Today's #DailyPuzzleChallenge solution uses a lot of nesting pieces to fill in the bottom half, where I can just treat the Thursday square like a hard boundary instead of a blank square. Nested/stacked pieces seem to almost always be the best way to fill in large areas of the board.

Today's #DailyPuzzleChallenge solution is being posted on my first real break of the day. It was actually solved before leaving for work as usual, but without enough time to make a post before heading out the door. Hopefully tomorrow is less hectic and we can return to the usual morning posts.

Today's #DailyPuzzleChallenge solution opted to leave the top three pieces in place once again since they just work so well there. The increased difficulty imposed by having fewer pieces available for the rest of the board is mitigated somewhat by getting the most annoying ones out of the way early.

My first attempt at today's #DailyPuzzleChallenge solution looked almost exactly like this, but the long L and I pieces were swapped, and it just wouldn't quite work. So I picked up everything but the top three pieces and started on the bottom right, and it turns out I had the right idea all along.

Today's #DailyPuzzleChallenge solution, as well as yesterday's (oops, blame the late Halloween party we hosted yesterday, along with the massive amount of food I cooked for it, for missing a day) were very straightforward. In fact, only today's required picking a piece back up after it was placed.

Today's #DailyPuzzleChallenge solution is a pretty chill one where I had no plan going in other than the U piece around the day of the week, and was fully prepared to spend several minutes on the rest, but instead most of the things I tried worked out by the second attempt.
