New to me is @thesify.bsky.social - anyone had any experience using this?

I'm trying to understand the privacy policy re: how inputs (papers, grants) are protected & whether they are used for training AI?

📑 What a comprehensive review! 👏

ICIs have come so far - so many combinatorial strategies. Rational/precision tx & biomarkers remain areas of unmet need. Will AI/ML 🤖 help? So much more to do.

Hopefully our #MANIFEST project (manifest-io.org.uk) can also contribute to this in the coming years.

Sharing our latest review article to highlight the importance of appropriately developing combination strategies for immune checkpoint therapy. Grateful for working with 3 brilliant scientists: Sangeeta Goswami, Kristen Pauken & Linghua Wang
Next-generation combination approaches for immune checkpoint therapy - Nature Immunology
In this Review, Sharma and colleagues describe the current landscape of combination therapies and discuss requirements for the development of effective combination strategies.

Cancer cells often harbor oncogenes outside chromosomes on extrachromosomal DNA (ecDNA), which is unevenly inherited by dividing cells. We reported in Nature last week that collectives of ecDNAs are inherited together by dividing cancer cells. 1/

Before I go to bed let me post an amazing paper by Filipe Pereira’s group (Ervin Ascic et al) for your enjoyment. I think this is a likely fundamental breakthrough in cancer immunotherapy: personalized, yet generic and probably pan-cancer. www.science.org/doi/10.1126/...

Fascinating read and salient illustrationsof the limitations/dangers of implementing machine learning into clinical decision making. As clinicians we shouldn't be deterred from trying to look inside the 'black box' and understand potential unforeseen consequences. www.aisnakeoil.com/p/does-the-u...

#ScienceSaturday How can we enhance CAR-T cell activity against solid cancers?

➡️ In a recent study, Zhao et al transduced CAR-T to express IL-10, resulting in enhanced T-cell proliferation, effector function, mitochondrial capacity and antitumor activity in a variety of solid tumor murine models.
