Just finished ”Once We Had the Arctic” by Heikkilä Markku and I can’t recommend it enough. It spans the circumpolar Arctic and is rich in anecdotes that perfectly illustrate the facts that make it such a special place - not only a geography and climate, but a state of mind and a way of life.

Why watch a movie when books exists then? There are so much value in a book. Again depends on storyline in both. If go back then older movies have a quite different way of telling the story. Ehen the actors then seem way more substance.
Someone just asked “Why waste time reading the book when you can simply watch the movie?” and long story short there comes a time when you must acknowledge that a friendship has run its course.

Funny cause it’s true. But I’m quoting because the longer the absurd idea of the US taking Greenland festers in public discourse, the more it’ll be normalized like this. It lowers the likelihood Trump would be stopped before attempting it. Imo, that’s the risk of a European/NATO persuasion strategy
