My new book of #Günderrode translations is out next month, 10 years after my first book of translations, "Poetic Fragments." This lovely review of "Poetic Fragments" makes me feel I did something worthwhile.

I’m incredibly shy about using my second languages but in the last 24 hours I’ve navigated 2 situations in Cantonese that would have been much harder without it 😃 It’s not much considering I’ve lived in HK nearly 10 years but I have had to work so hard at it.

Useful thread
In light of today’s conversation on academic accommodations, I’m going to revive a thread lost to time when I deleted my Twitter profile.

It’s about a bunch of academic accommodations that instructors can offer in lieu of an extension on an assignment. 🧵

#ME/CFS teaches you crazy things about yourself. It took 8 years to stop pushing myself till I was sick to do things I hated, didn’t want to do & didn’t really need to do but felt I ought to. Now I do things I actually need to do in a sustainable way & only make myself sick overdoing things I love😂
