Breaking apart NCAR hurts not only Colorado – but the entire country. Predicting and preparing for weather events is a nationwide necessity.

We cannot, and will not, let up in this fight.
As the Trump administration targets NCAR, scientists rally to defend the ‘mothership’ of atmospheric research
A letter published by the National Science Foundation asks for ideas to dismantle the research hub. Scientists are responding en masse.

Nelson described one client with a serious medical condition who was scheduled for surgery in February before being locked up. The facility refused to give the woman her medication or accept letters from her doctor.

“Withholding medical care is a form of torture,” she said.

Staff at the Center for Victims of Torture said that some conditions their clients face in the United States would qualify them for their services had they happened overseas. That includes clients who were recently detained by federal agents.

This is not a normal government agency, Senator! They are lawless and violent and destructive. This is not a normal negotiation. Please wake up.
Our DHS reform demands are exceedingly reasonable.

We're asking ICE to do nothing more than follow the standards that the vast majority of law enforcement agencies already follow.

Republicans, the ball is in your court. The clock is ticking.

So I just listened to @ariberman.bsky.social articulate the same theory @jvl.bsky.social has: that there’s a real chance the Trump admin is going to lean on Maduro or offer him some sort of deal to say Venezuela did interfere in the 2020 elections.

She must immediately be sent back to the maximum security prison where she belongs.
