I made this to respond to some friends/family on Facebook but figured I may as well share it here too, because I think it's an important message I think people should hear.

I'll link to the landscape version in a reply below. www.youtube.com/watch?v=8n9j...

10-year loans for groceries with interest-only payments for the first 5 years, adjustable-rate tied to the price of Bitcoin.

See, it isn't _that_ hard to come up with a worse idea! 🤪
Trying to think of a worse idea but I'm coming up short

These two trees across the street from me are the same type of tree (bigleaf maple, I think), but one has almost completely lost all its leaves while the other still has ~75% of them. Weird.

Okay, FINE. Since nobody else has done it yet, I made a supercut of Mike Johnson responding to tough questions with "I don't know."

Someone should make a website that just compiles all of these insane predictions about NYC.
Tuberville: “We just saw what happened in NY. We lost NY. It will be completely Muslim in 3-4 years. That’s what they want. And it’s going to spread throughout the country.”

Is it too much to ask for just a single headline that uses the word "decimate" correctly for once? This situation is BEGGING for it!

"Trump's FAA Decimates Flights Across the US" or something. www.npr.org/2025/11/05/n...
FAA will reduce air traffic by 10% at many airports to maintain safety
The Federal Aviation Administration will reduce air traffic at many busy airports to maintain safety during the government shutdown, which has led to staffing shortages of air traffic controllers.

just want to reiterate that the first amendment isn't something you "hide behind," it's something that constrains the government's ability to limit your inalienable rights. that distinction is very important

I love that Zohran did not praise Cuomo in his speech. You absolutely do not have to say nice things about bad people. We should normalize that in “polite” politics: Praising bad people is not actually “civility.”

Traditional American politics is premised on the notion that sometimes you lose and sometimes you win and you have to deal with that.

But Trumpism is premised on the notion that any result where you don’t win is illegitimate, unlawful, fraud, criminal.

You can’t negotiate with people like that.
