I like this advice from the American Psychological Association because (a) it's practical (b) advocates for adults to approach teen online activity with a spirit of curiosity not criticism, and (c) adopts a skills-learning perspective rather than restricting online access.

& we have sets of cards in about 20 languages with day to day phrases for parents & staff to use at the bedside like "I'm going to get my baby out" or "I'm the nurse looking after you today", as well as separate cards for emergency communication scenarios 2/2 #FICare
