For the love of God stop using ChatGPT for legal research people
It’s so much crazier than that. A woman appealed a lower court ruling for her ex-husband, pointing out the court’s order relied on 4 hallucinated or real-but-irrelevant cases. Ex-husband’s lawyer then files a reply to the appeals court with ELEVEN hallucinated or irrelevant case citations!
First time a judge has decided a case based on hallucinated case law in the US that I've encountered.

You know what sucks? Our newsletter used to go out to over 100k people and then Yahoo Groups closed their damn site and we lost all our subs. We've currently on 25k but if you help us and tell your friends to sub we could possibly creep back to where we were. Sub here --> b3ta.com/subscribe

A very worthy #medalmonday post after #running the Thames Ring 250 last week. 256 miles in 87:31:34 on just 7 hours kip and with feet still running after 200 miles but destroyed by the end.

Just the best experience! Loved it! #TR250

Forgetting brings impunity. russians carpet-bombed Mariupol, blocked civilian evacuations, forced people to seek refuge in the Drama Theater, bombed it too, and then kept shelling the area to make any rescue mission impossible. There can be no normalization with this evil.

Finally found a good plan to prevent me getting annoyed at idiots driving too fast down country lanes when I’m #running : do my long run late at night! 😁

Even snuck inside 5:30 for 50km with a full pack. A lovely Friday treat! 😎 Onwards towards the #TR250 which is less than 7 weeks away.

A nice bit of easy #running along the Chelmer from Chelmo to Heybridge and along the coast to Goldhanger and then home yesterday. Good training for #TR250 and Lovely views!

One of only two good runs since 2 Feb today. Still a little uncertain at losing 2 weeks of main training time for #TR250, but at least I enjoyed #running again, especially running wet trails and paths to Layer Marney Tower for some Tudor architecture 😎 Also loving my Injinji toe socks 😬

Still loving the point to point 48 mile race track from the weekend. Feels more of an achievement to see these distances laid out in a line on a map!

A true test of some race strategies yesterday, main aim to run easier, eat less and not visit the aid station before 50km. All aims achieved so despite some grim weather, a very successful training run, with a medal made of LEGO to boot! Also lovely to have the wife in course to hug

Running home from train stations, one of my favourite long distance training sessions. Exploring a new route today for another 21km #running with the #TR250 pack on. Questionable routing choices by the Garmin, but saw a path to a tree I recognised from a more picturesque run a couple of years ago

Much easier #running training for the #TR250 A casual Runch with my youngest through woods near us. Another chance to get used to the pack and an outdoor mobile lunch. Eli was obsessed with when he could eat so I think he’s a natural at ultras! 🤣 7km is a huge distance pb for him too! 🤩

New trail #running shoes day yesterday. Everything seemed to work well so happy with that.

The wife pushed me out the door (I don’t like feels like -5°C) but enjoyed being on trails for a couple of hours. It was very pretty and I had enough layers on not to really feel the chill. Definitely had plenty left in the tank; perfect for #TR250 #running

After a bad night’s sleep I had no desire to get up fat 5:30 for 2 hours in feels like -5°. With a party with my eldest’s hospice this arvo, only time for a short trot around the foggy icy woods #running Smashrun with the cold facts about me not liking to run long in the cold! 😁

Was a cold walk to school with the smallest but much warmer testing my new backpack for Thames Ring 250 at Runch. Backpack was amazing so very happy with that, my #running performance less so! #TR250

Wasn’t feeling the cold today so only planned to head out for 5km. Ended up just #running further and got to 4km before turning. Even got pictures of 3 lonely gates while recording some thoughts on a recent race and the Thames Ring 250 training

However the year is run and done, managed 4,103km. Means I got over 2,500 miles this year and over 5,000 miles across 2023 and 2024 as well as doing my first 10 50km in 10 days, breaking my 100 mile pb and managed to run every day of a calendar year.

The Strava year in review shows up an issue with how they deal with run streaks. Every time I run from one day to the next (100 miles+) it counts as a missed day, even when once I ran for nearly 14 hours on the second day. Surprising they can’t deal with that as well as Smashrun

For the first time my crimbo suit was upstaged at the Christmas Day Park Run as my youngest in his own Crimbo suit joined the wife and my disabled eldest for the final stretch 🎄
