Anybody interested in Irish fiction. I’ve just started releasing my book on Substack. I’ve no idea if this format will work but just want it out there. Book is called Its on Me. open.substack.com/pub/andycowa...

Dublin City Council, smugly: Bet it would be great to have some white water rafts right now, huh? It's almost like someone's great idea was shut down prematurely.

This is why being forced to wear hi -viz is so frustrating. Those of us who commute by bike understand that you can be as lit as a Christmas tree and it makes absolutely no difference. It’s just a method of victim blaming.
I don’t think it matters how much hi-viz a person is wearing when an Amazon delivery van is reversing down the footpath at speed - just saw this on Griffith Ave in Dublin. The footpath’s wide enough to fit a van so sure enough some delivery driver will attempt to bomb down it backwards. #RoadSafety

I carry a nice stack of Shelbourne stickers for this purpose. Also applies to Bohs, Pats and Rovers stickers.

Journalists!
Your job is not to report what the authorities say - it's to examine what they say, try to verify it, and report the results of that process.
Ergo, your lede is: Overwhelming video evidence shows federal authorities lied in the aftermath of the killing of a man in #Minneapolis.

Because the Irish government never met a victim it didn't want to blame.

Absolutely. Dublin City as is evident from walking around it is absolutely hated by those who are entrusted with it’s management.

So happy to see Jack Moylan doing so well at Lincoln City. Man of the match with a brace. Shelbourne legend.

Best political message I’ve seen in a long time. I can’t remember the last time or if an Irish party has ever resonated like this.
Help us make hope normal again.

Join the Green Party now.

Is everyone else’s life been overrun by Vinted? As a cyclist, having access to the French second hand market has not been good for my no spend plans. This arrived this morning.

There was a lovely noodle bar on Dundas Street West & Roncesvalles in Toronto. Closed six months after we moved there. The woman who ran it reminded me of my grandmother who I missed very much when living there. Opened my horizons to new foods. The beef teriyaki was incredible.

Came back to my bike yesterday in the office with a flat tire. Changed the tube but noticed that the old tube didn’t seem punctured. Put air in it last night when I got home and this morning it’s still holding air. Totally paranoid someone let the air out deliberately. Is that even a thing?

So incredibly grim but predictable.
I was able to use Grok to "undress" images of myself, including ones when I was underage, after it had geolocked the service. At first Grok thought there was a legal loophole in Ireland allowing it to undress images of women, then it thought it was banned under EU law.

I lost a job a while back after making a tiny mistake. No warning. On a contract so had no recourse. No due process to appeal it. Just had to get on with it. Every time I see Burkes face I’m made angry by the amount of due process he has been given and how he has abused it every step of the way.
