Joe Petty is a nice guy, but if his recent endorsements prove anything, it's that he is not a leader fit for these times. His recent endorsements of people like Maureen Binienda, Tony Economou, etc speak volumes of his judgement and preference for colleagues. Time for Petty to go.

@etelhaxhiaj.bsky.social did what hundreds of thousands of protestors have been begging elected officials to do, what @bradlander.bsky.social has done, what @replamonica.bsky.social did- put themselves between constituents under attack and those seeking to tear them from communities. She's the best.
City Councilor Etel Haxhiaj addressed supporters after pleading not guilty to charges related to an ICE arrest on Eureka Street on May 8. The court dismissed a felony charge against a second woman at the request of prosecutors.

ICE is no longer immigration enforcement. It’s a sprawling secret police with a budget bigger than some nations’ armies. No oversight. Questionable training. Just masks, unmarked vans, and executive authority. If you think this stops at the border, you’re not paying attention.
