Similar profile to Johnson—I was surprised by the mid season pickup. Again, my best educated guess is they didn’t want to signal to the fan base that they were doing n o t h i n g. I’d wager AA is gearing up for extensions and a couple of additions to the rotation/pen that fit Hefner’s mold

My best guess is the front office has tired of hittable fastballs offset by hard breaking stuff. The league seems to have caught up and the FO would rather allocate spend that money on arms with a different look for hitters.

Political violence disproportionately hurts people with less power, not people with more power. Political violence will disproportionately hurt people of color and women and LGBTQ people. It’s not fair, but that’s the way it works. Celebrating political violence means at best indifference to that.
Political violence is bad. It usually begets more political violence.
Celebrating political violence is bad. It usually encourages more political violence, against various targets.
Campus shootings are bad. They make everyone on campus less safe.

MAGA has always been smoke averse. Pritzker stood up and made clear that all the administration would get in Illinois is problems.
