Remember the time Obama personally caught a fainting woman during his speech — rather than just blankly staring like a sociopath?

Character isn't something you tell people about.

It's something you live.

One analytical model shows that, as of November 5th, the dismantling of U.S.A.I.D. has already caused the deaths of 600,000 people, two-thirds of them children. https://newyorkermag.visitlink.me/jUzNSc

Specifically, the fear of God comes from GOP uncertainty with rejiggering maps after Virginia turned into practically a supermajority state overnight. You might redistrict yourself right out of a job
really important element of this basically total victory is that it puts the fear of god in republican incumbents and may bring the redistricting push to a total halt

Well, election night is over early this year. Usually I stay up too late refreshing results, but everything has been so overwhelming I don’t have anything to stay up watching. #bluewave

I was expecting Gov and Lt. Gov.

I was hopeful for AG

I would have laughed at the suggestion this could happen.

Looks like the Dems will pick up 12 seats in the VA House of Delegates, which will go from 51-49 to 63-37 D-R. That's an honestly shocking result.

I agree with all of this except the part about Loudon being the most important county in Virginia. (I might be biased…#Chesterfield)
SHOCKING: Dem Virginia Attorney General candidate Jay Jones was predicted to lose. But Loudon County results came in – the most important county in the state – and it shows him WINNING by a LANDSLIDE. 💪

MAGA is losing their damn minds.

Popcorn time. 🍿 ✨

I’ll take 0.1%. State AG has an outsized importance during the Trump Kleptocracy.
My hottest election take is that Jay Jones is gonna win by like .3%

As Governor, I will do the same thing.

Today is the day! Proud to cast my vote for our Democratic ticket.

I’m grateful for everyone who has stood with us in the fight for progress, opportunity, and safety for all. Let’s make history, Virginia.

I want to second this point.

Mamdani is running a NYC race. Spanberger is running a statewide race here in Virginia. Different demographics, different approaches and tone, but same overall principles.

A big tent party can't obsess over purity. You either grow and adapt or die.

Oh yeah, vote.
There’ll be a lot of takes tonight on whether Zohran Mamdani or Abigail Spanberger offer Democrats a clearer path to victory.

Let’s be clear: they’ve both ran people-first campaigns focused on affordability. They’ve both met people where they are. That’s the lesson. Ideology comes second.

Hello, Virginia. A great write-up about how VA lawmakers thought ahead, as well as caveats. Big takeaway: voting remains critical and voting for Democrats is how we push this over the line. @bluevirginia.bsky.social
Virginia to the Rescue!
