"Republicans run the entire government but can't keep it open"

That's it. That's the whole story.
Yes. (And still getting "standoff" BS and "who will blink first" and "who will voters blame" from news.)

Trump and MAGA control the *entire* government. It's a simple fact:
- White House
- Senate
- House
- Scotus
- OMB (to the hilt)
- Every regulatory agency

They're in command. It's on them.
I do not understand why they cannot get the headlines right.

Just follow the gop playbook!

“Repubs control it all! The shutdown is on them!”

As nauseum.

Don’t lead with the nuance.

Today we mark VE Day x 80. 80 years since victory in Europe. We need to remember why the war was fought. We can honor those who fought and those who died by making sure fascism doesn’t win today.

No Dem Senator has to follow Schumer here. This is a weak stategic move driven by fear and learned helplessness. Don't follow him. He's leading the party into irrelevance and helping Trump and Musk in the process.

Call your Dem Senators and ask them not to join Schumer's surrender tomorrow.
SCHUMER just now: "While the CR bill is very bad, the potential for a shutdown has consequences for America that are much, much worse."

It’s heartwarming to see everyone use their manners this morning on @capmetroatx.bsky.social rail on the way to @sxsw.com. Everyone made sure women and older people had seats. We haven’t lost all of our manners. ❤️

I can not say enough good things about “The Crossing” by Richard Parker. I will look at El Paso in a more international and important way. Did you know the Europeans and Indigenous had a feast together in El Paso decades before “Thanksgiving “ ?

Who is weaker than quiet Dems?
Republicans MAGA or not. They have given all their power and thought to their leader. They are not strong enough to recognize they have given up their power, voice and self to a con man, and have sold out their constituents. weak men and women become cult leaders.
