As if the tourism industry wasn’t feeling the pain yet, this 5-year social media review seems poised to really tank it.

So what tourists are going to pay for that new Spurs arena, again?

So far, I’m expecting a fair number of Trump’s bootlickers to throw him under the bus the minute he dies in order to vainly secure some sort of political power, if not take over the reins. And Trump is going to be the scapegoat corpse for politicians for years to come.

I’m just waiting for the inevitable issue where the Punisher starts wiping out ICE agents.

I mean, he’s got no qualms about taking out corrupt officials, so it stands to reason…

America, it’s time to go a Viking.

Trump’s ballroom is the new Lindesfarne.

Remember: If we allow ourselves to fall into fatalism, or wallow in disappointment, or become resigned to what is rather than what should be, we will lose the long game.

The greatest enemy of positive social change is cynicism about what can be changed.

The Sociopath-In-Chief couldn't be bothered to even turn his head in the direction of a man in the midst of a medical emergency who collapsed in his office. Completely incapable of empathy, the EPSTEIN Files can't be released soon enough.

So, Folding Chair Field Marshall Hegseth is essentially wanting abuse and brutality back in training, like “the old days,” if not like Russia.

Because really, Russia clearly shows the world how well that hazing and bullying schtick works for a war fighting force.

There’s a lot of overly overt 1st & 2nd Amendment advocates whose silence and lack of action right now is extremely telling.

Don’t forget it. Never let them live it down.

Tank the networks. Cancel subscriptions.

Really. Leave the networks out to dry. Show them the impact consumers have on them.

Make them realize the real financial cost of sycophancy.

Speech elicits action. It always has.

Despite what we may believe, freedom is never devoid of responsibility or consequence.

No one asks for horrible things to befall them. But sometimes it’s not hard to see the bad future unfolding through the unfortunate person’s actions.

That was UVU today.

Wonder how the right is going to play things after Trump kicks the bucket. Like who’s going to claim to be the heir apparent or who throws his corpse under the bus to distance their bootlicking selves from the inevitable disaster.

BTW @stephencolbert.bsky.social and @pbs.org

With all of the recent devel. in TV recently, perhaps there should be a new network, perhaps on streaming, to fit the niches left open.

May I recommend CPB:

• Colbert Public Broadcasting

Or a twist on PBS:

• PubliColbert Broadcasting Service

So is Trump going to declare war on Russia or Iran now?

Seems like his other gimmicks are falling flat.

In these times, it’s critical to document, document, document.

Esp. those who cheerlead such evils.

(for my old field)

What is common knowledge in your field, but shocks outsiders?

Your kid really shouldn’t have passed the semester/school year. Determinations were made to keep the line moving. They may technically have a diploma, but that doesn’t mean they’ve made the genuine effort to get it.
What is common knowledge in your field, but shocks outsiders?

Comedy doesn’t require intelligence, insight or morality.

Many comics are sexist, racist nazi, morons who don’t give a toss about right and wrong.
What is common knowledge in your field, but shocks outsiders?

A majority of the world’s insect species have no living expert who can identify them.

The court just confirmed what we all know: The military belongs on the battlefield, not on our city streets.

End the unnecessary militarization of Los Angeles now, Donald Trump.

Refusing to do so will only confirm your authoritarian tendencies.

The country is watching.
