One of the things that #LFC fans have found the toughest to swallow is the fact that we aren't going for the title. The reality of our situation is that a point away to Fulham isn't bad for a team going for the top four, but no one wants to say it. More: www.andcouldheplay.com/the-two-live...

This captures the angst you see among fans better than anything I have read: the big issue is the giant disconnect between what fans imagined they wanted coming into this season versus what they are seeing. The exact opposite of what happened last season: a comfortable title after low expectations.

Loads of “he had no pressure on him when he had the shot” chat. To be clear, you actively want a centre-back who has barely played & has only had one touch in the game to have a shot from distance. I’m sorry, but you just do. The chance of him scoring was minute. But sometimes it happens.

Some finish that. Not much you can do about it. Feels like we’ve been a mix awful at times this season, whilst also conceding wonder goals.

Hadn’t checked here until 1-1 and surprised to see such negativity. I actually think we’ve played quite well, but looked understandably blunt in attack. Limited Fulham chances well.

Opposition supporters being concerned when they concede a corner to us is funny. Lads, we’ve taken 736 corners this season & scored one goal. More chance you’ll score against us on the counter.

I would be the first to say that Slot has been poor with his decision making at times this season, but he’s been bloody unlucky too. Ekitike injured after Isak was taken out outrageously by van de Ven. When it rains etc.

This is what I was saying on Saturday. Micky Long Legs has basically ended Isak’s season, but there was zero mention of it because we scored. Zero difference between that & if he’d completed a pass & then been clattered in an uncontrolled manner. It’s a red all day.
I really think a tackle that breaks a player's leg and has no chance at getting the ball should face some sort of disciplinary action, even if the player who's fouled scores. It's just unacceptable that you can do whatever you want to a player as long as he gets a shot off.

Mad that Spurs got two men sent off yesterday and neither of them were the fella who jumped uncontrolled into a scissor kick tackle & probably ended Isak’s season, nor the one who put one of our players into a chokehold on the floor.

Big three points that. Lots will buy into the Neville narrative that we were hanging on, but after the season we’ve had I’m not surprised that we looked nervy at the end. Held on, which will do them a world of good.
