Pluribus feels like a show that is engineered for me, specifically. High concept sci-fi that takes its time to examine every facet of how that concept would affect the characters, society, the world. And it’s smart, too! A lot of “show don’t tell” that lets you stay a half-step ahead of each reveal.

I would take the collected works of Larry Niven and turn them into an out-of-chronological order TV series. Different stories, different times, different characters: Puppeteers, Gil the Arm, the Pak, Kzinti, Louis Wu. Culminating in a Ringworld adaptation. Call it “Tales of Known Space.”

Despite knowing how unlikely it would be, I sometimes daydream about winning the lottery. I’m smart enough to know it wouldn’t solve all of my problems (and it would create new problems, too) but I’d wager things would be a hell of a lot better than they are right now.

Thinking about AI and the common refrain of, “Yeah, it’s not perfect, but right now is the worst it’ll ever be.”
But as the internet fills up with AI-generated content and the new models train themselves on that garbage, it may well be the BEST it’ll ever be.
We may be in the golden age of AI.

I drew out and savored #Andor as long as I could. It's been my treadmill show. Easy to run when my view is a galaxy far, far away.
