NEW: 200+ Chicago-area clergy — Protestants, Catholics, and evangelicals — have signed a letter decrying ICE's efforts and voicing a willingness to put their "bodies on the line" for migrants.

"What Kristi Noem and her ICE agents are doing is immoral," they write. religionnews.com/2025/10/21/a...

I'm just posting this again, because we all need to be completely clear that despite sex differentiation starting at 10 wks gestation, every cell in anyones body is very unlikely to be 100% "male" or 100% "female".

Maleeessss and feeemaaalles ❌
We're all a vibrant mix ✔️

Why our organs cannot simply be classified as male or female
Biological sex is usually described in simple binary terms: male or female. This works well for germ cells (sperm versus eggs), but for other body organs it is of little help.

It's been some week! Started with an individual retreat at Whitchester house near Hawick & midweek Eucharist at St Cuthbert's Hawick, then on Thurs my licensing as part-time transitional priest-in-charge of Grangemouth and Bo'ness. Now I'm off to the the Edinburgh diocese electoral synod.

I keep seeing reports of non-AI users being told that an AI detector has dubbed their work AI generated, and it makes me insane because:
1) AI detection tools *are themselves AI* and thus entirely bullshit; and
2) if an AI was trained on your works, of COURSE it’ll flag you as sounding “like” AI!

Come and hear me read as part of Queer Breakfast Club – Grangemouth's first ever pride celebration, Proud Corners! The event is free but you are welcome to give a donation on the day. QBC is a fantastic local group that, despite only having started in January, is up for two awards: organisation of the year in the CVS Falkirk and District volunteering awards and the charity/group initiative award in this year's Proud Scotland Awards, alongside far more established and better-known groups!

We'd urge people not to panic - there will be lots of commentary coming out quickly that is likely to deliberately overstate the impact that this decision is going to have on all trans people's lives. We'll say more as soon as we're able to. Please look out for yourselves and each other today 💗🏳️‍⚧️

A German word for being embarrassed by the actions of someone else is Fremdscham, or “foreign shame.” A similar word from Icelandic is aulahrollur, which is quite tricky to translate but basically means something along the lines of “cringe quake” or “douchebag chills”
