I have been noticing a pattern in my brown friends and family where they never seem happy with their current govt or system, and this cynicism is the talk of the groups or gathering.
Whether they’re in India, Pakistan, Canada, or USA, grass is always greener somewhere else for them.

The 1956 Soviet invasion of Hungary cost a lifetime of trauma for my parents, and half of my childhood spent in repression. It makes me happy that when the EU says “We, Europeans” now includes Hungarians. (And I hope that it stays that way.)
