No that's not *your* on *our behalf*. Your job is to report the story, presenting all sides fairly and then *we* call it. What Mason is saying here is fundamentally not what the bbc is for!

You have to question what is happening in our media.

Yields decreased, with the UK bond market being a top performer compared to other global markets in the last week of November 2025.

Was listening to LBC this morning from 7-10 and it felt like I was listening in to a parallel universe frankly. I simply do not see how we can solve the multitude of problems our country has when large sections of the media are frankly dedicated to just lying about the problems we face

I saw the Venus of Willendorf on the same trip as I saw the Löwenmensch.

Both are original (not replica) and displayed in Germany. If you're planning a trip to Europe - they are incredible.

Brexit costs the government around £90bn.

Without Brexit we could have tax cuts and spending increases. We would have hope & optimism, not gloom & despair.

Brexit harms the British people, especially the poor & vulnerable. No politician can support Brexit and claim to care for ordinary people.

Chaos in councils, links to Russia, allegations of racism, and incoherent policy messaging.

And a PM who doesn't seem to understand if these people punch you, you have to punch them back harder.
What we're seeing is exactly what we saw in the late 1940s, the late 1960s and the mid- to late 1970s: a concerted and hysterical campaign to delegitimise a Labour government, and indeed the very idea of Labour governments at all.

Reality:

Year to June 2025: just 204k

Yes. They cry that they’re studiously non-partisan but their political editor takes it upon himself to essentially accuse the Labour chancellor of lying. Something that would simply *never* have happened - did not happen - with the Tories in power, when there was far more ammunition.

BBC News is not an impartial broadcaster. They need a big clean out to replace Tory & Reform biased journalists. They gave us Brexit, Boris Johnson & Liz Truss. Chris Mason and Laura Kuenssberg are a stain on good journalism.
Mason declares that in his judgement we have been misled by Rachel Reeves.

It feels unprecedented that the BBC has made a "call" on a story, and is something that was absent throughout the terms of notorious liars such as Johnson.

There were certainly no "calls" about Brexit lies.

Back from Your Party conference now. Some thoughts...

It was very messy indeed.

And 2,500, while a good number, looked tiny given initial hopes of 13,000, and the huge size of the venue.

The party is deeply divided and I can't see that dying down any time soon (1/x)
